How to free people - Bush Vs Saddam

How to free people:

  1. Nuture a ruthless leader who you can use for your own selfish intrests
  2. Make the country fight a 8 yr war with its neighbour
  3. Then ask leader to invade kuwait
  4. Since army is weak cuz of war with neighbours, go to war with them
  5. Destroy all infrastructure (including water)
  6. Apply brutal sanctions for 12 years
  7. Then suddenly after 12 years, say sanctions not working
  8. Oh dont forget to mention breach of UN resolutions
  9. Ok since regime may have killed 1000’s,We have to beat them we have to kill 500,000 (thro UN sanctions)
  10. Laucnh another war (since country is already finsihed)
  11. After 3 days of war, give multi billions dollar contracts to Western firms! (no this war is not about oil)
  12. Kill about 600 civilians (and say we did our best not to)
  13. Shoot women, kids, old men in cold blood (and say self defence, bearing in mind we are invaders)
  14. And dont 4get da strange palaces must be super built (cus after dropping 8000 bombs they still bombing the city)
  15. Use cluster bombs (cuz 2 scared to fight ground battle)
  16. Finally IF after dropping over 10,000s bombs, after sending in army of 200,000, killing over 1000’s of inocennets civillians, destroying the whole country…we can say we have brought Freedom to them!

Bush Vs Saddam

1) Bush was elected by a free people - which he barely won

2)People everyday speak up against Bush and Bush doesn't have them killed.

3)Every time I walk down the street or into a school or go to work, I don't see pictures and statues of Bush.

4)I don't leave my broken down house to go to work and pass by beautiful palaces built for, dedicated and named after Bush.

5)When I fly to Iraq I leave from Dullas and land at Saddam Itrn'l, not leave from Bush Itrn'l.

6)I don't recall Bush gasing his own people

7)Bush will not be in power in a year possibly - Saddam can stay as long as he wants.

8)Saddam probably has about 8+ billion dollars in wealth. Bush maybe 200 million.

9)I was not forced to celebrate Bush's Birthday - when is it?

10)Bush's family doesn't own one the only newspaper and TV station in the country.

11) Bush doesn't fire guns into the air at his speeches

This question really doesn't even require a serious response

Is it cheaper than flying from JFK or Ronald Reagan airports?

Bush doesn't gas his own people.

He uses lethal injection!

You seem to forget that when this murderer was Governor of Texas he did not pardon one person.

Now that he's the leader of US, he's not gonna pardon one country!

Re: Bush Vs Saddam

installed by the Supreme Court is more like it.

not yet.. :hehe: they do get fired from their jobs or persecuted.

every time you turn on the TV you do.

have you compared your portfolio lately with that of Bush and his buddies in power?

Fly out of Houston and u’d be going out of Bush International.. and land somewhere south of Baghdad in Bush International again!

CIA thinks it wasn’t Saddam who gassed the Kurds.

that’s what you think.. Another Patriot Act and faked terror attack and u’re stuck with this government forever.

put that crack pipe down

the way things are going for him and his oil buddies.. seems like every day.

Bush’s buddies and campaign financiers own the largest Radio network conglomerate which btw came into place after FCC eased restrictions on corporations monopolizing media. All other major sources strictly follow what comes out the Pentagon and White House. Critics are silenced.

yes.. he fires Bushisms.

oops too late..

hmm

The only people who where leathally injected were people convicted of the death penalty for 1st degree murder, NOT people shot in the back of the head for saying they disagree with Bush.

I really wonder what all you American bashers would be saying if Gore would have won and we had a Jewish vice president Lieberman. Ohhh see the US is really run by Isreal. We wouldn't hear the end of it.

All I see from this forum is America bashing- doesn't anybody see the good we do. Yes, we make some mistakes and bad choices but at least we can admit we are wrong some of the time. I've been reading this web site for two years now and haven't heard one American Basher admit in the slightest they may have been wrong.

All you America bashers do is sit back and critisize instead of providing solutions. It's like you agree with the way Saddam treats his people and the way Bin Laden voices his opinion by terrorism. I hear critisizm for bringing food and supplies to the people of Iraq -you say"Bomb them and Feed them". What are we suposed to do, not bring aid to the people.

It's all summed up by one sentence "America, damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Avg guy..i live here and there are tons of good things to say bout this country..what most ppl dont like is their foreign policies...avg american doesnt even know what happens outside america..not many muslims like saddam or osama but what hurts is that innocent muslims getting killed..it was america that supported saddam and osama in the past..if they had not we might have had a bit peaceful world

I agree with you. I don't like the fact a lot of people here don't know whats going on around the world. Can you really blame them though? A person will only pay attention to things that affect them.

Yes the US may have put Saddam and Bin Laden in power, but at the time there were tough choices to make. Would the world be any better off if Afganistan was run by the Soviets or Iraq looked more like Iran/Soviet Union? That was the Cold War when 2 ideologies clashed big time. I'm sorry the rest of the world had to be in the middle of it, including the Middle East. Can you really blame Americans of today for things 25+ years ago?

It's easy to sit back and say you were wrong in the past. That's why hindsight is 20-20. You have to look at the current situations at hand and the choices available and in some cases choose the lesser of 2 evils.

How do you make a right choice when both choices are wrong?

I wish more poeple in the Middle East would understand the Cold War and why America had to make those tough choices. Should we have let the whole world fall into communism, where everyone is equally poor and there is no incentive for hard work and innovation?

I also agree that America should get out of the business of supporting some dictator govnts that are supposedly "allies" and "frontline" states.

People often bring up how the USA supported this evil butchering dictator for a while. Fine. But using this argument to reason why the US should not invade makes no sense! if you think the US is partly responsible for the mass murderer, doesn't it then follow that they should be responsible for ending his reign of terror???

To be replaced by whom? When the US govt. toppled the socialist, democratically-elected government of Salvador Allende in Chile, they replaced it with the regime of Augusto Pinochet. Did Pinochet's reign usher in a new era in human rights for Chileans? Hardly.

The way that it stands right now, it appears as though we will have either Jay Garner or General Tommy Franks in head of Iraq, positioned at Baghdad. i do not see any concrete steps made towards transition for a truly democratic Iraqi interim government (moreso perhaps if that includes a government that is Islamic, not secular, in nature).

AG - I can understand your pt of view, nothing USA does is acceptable to US bashers. As people have already pointed out, it is mainly US foreign policy and it's unquestioning support of the zionist entity that is the killer. Our leaders make big mistakes, are corrupt, etc, yes, but do not, as a rule, want to conquer / colonise other countries - exactly what the US has been doing since WW2.
So 1 solution would be for USA to dismantle its 100s of bases around the globe, pull out and start treating other countries, large or small as partners in trade, etc and not as slaves. Guaranteed you will see a dramatic change in attitude by people around the world within a very short space of time. No country is interested in attacking USA - not Iraq, not N. Korea, not anyone - just get off our backs. PLEASE.

Peace.
