When any relationship breaks apart it does hurt, but the best u can do is try and forget moments and let time help u thru..u forget moments, don't think u can forget people!
And yes, if a person has hurt u plenty it's alright to hate..if u don't have time, MAKE time to hate them lol!

With my little brain and considerable experience I could tell, HATE has a very bad effect on the brain.
I rather kick some Butt and for get about them, rather then making my self miserable by letting hate make home in my soul.

Break-ups suck. They're soo overpowering! I think people here have given some really really good advice - get busy woman! Also, make sure you keep good company - spend time with people that make you feel better, not worse. Stay away from love songs, sad songs, chick flicks. Trust me they just give you a pang in your heart.
Oh and most importantly, take. a. break. Do not let any of your friends and family talk you into seeing someone else right away. Stay away from potentials for sometime.
