Hi Everyone

I needed some suggestions. I need to email video clips to cousin on his wedding and I have tried uploading it to both my yahoo and hotmail accounts and it takes forever and ever.I have mae a zipped fle of one…and still the same.Please tell me how can I email them.The clips are abt 1-2 mins long.Im going to check the size and get back. The video montage needs to be assembled asap by another cousin by tomorrow. Help Help!!

^ what's the format of the video files? and tell us the size as well.

You can always use a service like YouSendIt.com - I've used it in the past myself.

There's also EyeJot - which some friends have used to send me files but I haven't used it myself.

how about uploading the videos on youtube ...... giving it a private status and allowing only your cousin to see it by approving his youtube ID for those videos ???

How do I know the type :konfused:…I looked at the properties…it just says its a video clip and the size is 79.2 MB (thats one of them)

I did that on youtube and on FB too(took a very long time for em to upload)...but the cousin in charge wants to be able to upload it ...and edit it...There is a bigger montage of video messages that they want to play on the shadi.

^ 2 minutes long clips should't take that long. Idk may be it's s/th else causing the delay.

^^ It shouldn’t. Can it be my computer then…its been running really slow. I tried 2 other computers hough…it was abt the same thing…one problem or another:bummer:

What is your uploading speed, your computer speed doesnt matter in this case. Your uploading speed does..

Check your uploading speed on speedtest.net if you dont know, and then you can calculate how much time it will take to upload 79 mb.

I suggest, you to go to sendspace.com..and upload your file over there and it has option to send it in e-mail..so just write down your cousin's e-mail address over there and he/she will get download link.

^ Bhayya size was mentioned in #4. Maybe Ask99 is on dial up that's why it is taking forever to upload just 79 megs.

Most email providers (namely hotmail) limit per file size to 10MB. Your best bet would be to use one of the provided links above, upload the file and then email the link to it.

If it's an actual video and you'd like to allow others to download it, you can up it on veoh.com or rapidshare.com as well.

I used Yousendit.com as Lucid Chaotic mentioned…it worked brilliantly. I havent heard from the cousins though if she got it or not…I know they must be too busy with the shaddi ka hulla gulla:bumer:

^ Lite version of yousendit keeps the uploaded file for only 7 days. So, make sure cousins download the video in within a week otherwise ticket will expire and you have to upload the file again.

just adding my 2 cents.. i think google video would be the best.. maintains good quality and theres no time limit and uploads quickly and the videos can be set to private.. and the file never expires..

upload in a foder, make tht folder public
