how to do Ramadan in a healthy style

Re: how to do Ramadan in a healthy style

We usually avoid fried foods at iftaar because they fill you up and you end up with gas and bloating, and then you can't have dinner.

So this is what we do:

Sehri:
Chapatti and some sabzi/bhuna huwa gosht/egg
or a homemade burger with whole wheat buns and a chicken/or veggie pattie and salad stuff
or a typical breakfast consisting of eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast and baked beans
or sometimes hubby has milk and cereal

For Iftaar,
we usually have, in addition to khajoor:
1. channa dal that is boiled and lightly sauteed with dhaniya, lemon juice garnish
or black choley
2. and always dahi of some sort.
3. and fruit chaat
4. and Rooh Afza milk or milk with nuts.

and a simple dinner such as rice and dal with grilled chicken, or chicken salan, or something that isn't too oily and complicated.
