How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb - U2

Amazing Album! U2 lives! But Achtung Baby still remains the best U2 album ever! Old U2 fans would laud the return of Steve Lillywhite, the producer! The Edge also proves hes one of the best guitarists out there! The band was formed in 1976! 29 years and counting!

Funny you mentioned. Vertigo was the first english song I bought online (iTunes). The beat is awesome, even though the initial counting sounds suspicious... (did he really say "one, two, three ... fourteen!!!"?)

I love U2. I don't think they've ever produced a bad song or album. All of their songs are intense, passionate, powerful with fantastic beats.

^ Right on, awesome beat! The 80s U2 factor can be clearly seen in this track. The Edge really dominates in Vertigo! Faisal, how much did you pay for the song? Is it cheaper to just buy the CD (about $15) or download it on itunes?

True, but alot of the 80s U2 fans strayed away, especially in the late 90s. I remember when discotheque came out (after that prolonged break, and rumours of a breakup), there was a huge uproar as to why they are going teckno. Now that Steve is back on the helm as producer, I am sure alot of those old fans would listen to this new album. The Edge has some incredible solos in this album, and I strongly feel hes been underrated as a guitarist, hes never mentioned in the ranks of modern guitarists like Slash.

I paid 99 cents, ofcourse. The song is downloaded to my computer and sync'd to my iPod, and at some point I may burn it on a CD for my car. The whole album is available on iTunes for download, but I don't think its 15 bucks... its cheaper, actually.

No Joshua Tree was the best . Some of the best singles are form that album. BUt Acthung and Zooropa aint bad either :D

What do you think about this one? JT was defnitely the breakthrough album that launched U2!

I have to disagree ... every single song on Achtung Baby was simply amazing. :p

There are some interesting facts about U2. When they started, the edge's brother was in the band too, but he left and made another one, cant remember the name. At one time, Bono was almost about to leave the band as the church declared rock music as sinful, but the edge convinced him not to leave. There is so much history behind this amazing band! No matter what they say about this album, U2 remains the original 4 person band like it was!

*Turn it up loud, captain! *

Even better than the real thing! Thats the best!

Numb was kinda cool too, as the edge was undergoing a difficult phase in his life, and it wasnt a very common concept, the guitarist doing lead vocals, and featured in the video.
