hey everyone i have read nearly everywhere that the best methode for loosing weight is to count your calories and so on…but my question is how to count them?how will you get to know e.g. how many calories a roti has or a plate of noodles or like this?please tell me how to do this type of diet?i really want to lose weight(5-6kg).
like 1,2,3,4 like that. its easy.

why dont you look it up on the net, it'll tell u per 100g or 10g, and have some kitchen scales handy.

Read the nutrition label behind the package of all the food items. They usually tell the number of calories before and after cooking.
Just for you info, a medium size roti has 80-100 calories.
Also do a google search.

There are many sites that list so many foods, weights and caloric info…its a good thing to do I guess but more important is to just eat small meals. maybe more meals but smaller. keep to lowfat items and perhaps visit the weight watcher’s site. My mom struggled with her weight for decades but WW worked for her, going on about 4 years now. She dropped about 75 pounds and kept it off by following their lifestyle recommendations. Worked wonders!!

or google things, the internet has loads of info on calorie counting!

depends on what kind of roti and how big it is. depends on what kind of noodles.
If you type in name of the dish and the word calories on the internet search engines, you'll get an estimate of calories.
If you want to lose weight, exercise (cardio weights). Reduce intake of refined carbs like cookies, cake, etc.
If you're going to each chawal or roti, consider having it only once a day. For example, if you decide to have chawal or roti for dinner........then for lunch you can have a baked sweet potatoe or soup and salad. Or have the roti/chawal for lunch. And do a soup/salad for dinner. Make adjustments.

i dont agree...
the best method of losing weight is to workout and eat sensibly (small portion, healthy meals)...thats it! why drive yourself crazy counting calories?
but yea getting back to the topic... like niki said... read the label on the back or go to some calorie intake database...they have many online.
