How to cope with dyslexia ?

You all should know and be aware that this is just a periodic problem. And mostly some celebrities suffered from this problem in their childhood.

Did you or any of your sibling faced this problem ?

What is take on this.

What is a step by step procedure to rectify this issue.

Note : I am well aware of the fact that is not a major problem but we have to address it properly to resolve it.

Re: How to cope with dyslexia ?

I knew someone who had this problem. and they would confuse between D and B. sometimes even read numbers the other way around.
and I don't think she did anything to get it sorted..

Re: How to cope with dyslexia ?

I also think that they overcome this minute problem with the passage of time themselves, but not sure :hmmm:

Re: How to cope with dyslexia ?

I remember reading somewhere that if you place a blue transparent sheet over the writing it is less confusing for them to read. Don't know any dyslexic people to confirm this theory though.

Re: How to cope with dyslexia ?

Chances are they will not overcome by themselves. They will need help. Some cases are mild and the parents or teachers can easily help them with loads of one-on-one practice sessions. Others require therapy sessions. The important thing is that it is diagnosed correctly and as early as possible. It is so frustrating for a child to have to go through this problem and be thought of as “slow” or “lazy”. Building on their self-confidence is an important part of their therapy.

My daughter was identified as “probably suffering from dypsraxia”

Her partner in her therapy group is dyslexic. And the way the two of them complement each other and help each other out is almost like watching some sort of magic. Two happy enthusiastic little girls working together through play. The early intervention has worked wonders on my daughter. The other girl was identified slightly late, but she is also doing well.
