Well first of all thank you to all the lovely ppl who helped me reg my thread on how to cook the chicken and halloumi cheese queries…
Chicken turned out awesome! Halloumi cheese pakoras were ok but they def taste better when grilled!
So i want to cook steak today. I marinated it last night with soy sauce, namak mirch, vinegar, honey and half tsp of meat tenderizer…how shall i cook it?
Normally when i make it, i brown it first and then place it in the oven. But still comes out hard. Where am i going wrong?
i personally direct put my the steaks in fry pan wid little oil n after some minutes i add some spoons water to make it tender n not so hard but not every time i got gud results ,,,sometimes gud n sometimes not lollzzz....but i tasted a very gud staek n recepie i got,,first of all put ur steaks in a steamer (in pressure cooker) slightly make them tender(very slightly) to avoid their harness after frying,n then fry the steaks on very low flame.hope this ll help u.

It is better to grill or Broil a steak , frying makes them more lethal than they are already.
I broil steaks. Make sure you put the meat tenderizer about 10 to 15 minutes before you put it in the oven... and you must cover the pan with a foil for softness.
I grill mine on a very hot griddle pan, then stick them in the oven for a short while with foil on top. The longer u cook them, the tougher they r going to b!
English ppl say the rarer (less cooked) the steak, the tender it is, but i cant stand pink.
A suggestion, u can quickly brown them on the grill, then place them in an oven dish on a rack, with some boiling water poured into the dish, cover in foil, they will then steam and be tender.
A lil bit off topic but how do you explain the meat for steak to someone who gives you the meat for pasanday everytime you ask for steak?
Our one and only halal/zabiha meat store owner has no idea about the thickness of the steak meat..After several failed attempts of explaining it to him, I have stopped asking for it now. :(
He is sooo clueless about the meat that this one time I ended up cutting the boneless chicken at his shop to explain what I wanted for the zinger burger!!!
Thank you Mirch Bhai - sounds very good! I agree with the hammer, you really do get an extra special result except on this occasion i have already marinated the steak so i cant bash it!
GTG! I usually tell them i thick i want the steak - so in my case, i said 1.5cms and they know...
sunset, mirch gave the right link to the thread , as i'm gonna follow it in order to prepare steak
the only thing stopping me to make one is the right kind & thickness of meat
