I have a name change related issue for passport. I have called several times but never got through, and also I received an error when I tried to email them a written letter through their website.
This is frustrating.
I should just visit their office, but I would have to take some time off from work.

If you are in the DC area...best bet would be to go in person.

You have to fill out a brand new form with $75 even for a name change for passport.
so if you are really just changing name - send off that $75, with mini passport picture and the form it's online
(of course I am talking with personal experience, do not take it as an official advise lol)
