How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

Is it really nearly impossible to conceive for a woman who got diagnosed with PCOS? :frowning:

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

It isn't impossible don't worry :) Women with PCOS can have kids, but they shouldn't wait too long..

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

You can become a mother. But whenever you are ready to conceive, make most of every opportunity to "meet" with hubby. And see a specialist (a reproductive endicrinologist).

You're a newlywed. What's the rush?

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

Just take ur time, enjoy & relax.. Get urself checked about how severe the PCOS exactly is & maintain a healthy diet. These are the key points..

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

it is possible. don't stress about it.

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

It IS possible and nothing you need to worry your head over, inshALLAH things will work out fine, just remember don't take pills , don't stress

If you have some extra weight, try and lose this and you need to reduce your High GI foods, Cut out the white stuff (White bread, rice, cakes, biscuits)

Do your gentle exercise as that helps regulate hormones

These are the things YOU can do, I have seen many girls who have reduced their weight a little and it has helped regulate their periods and reduce PCOS symptoms

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

it is surely possible. I have PCOs since over 10 years now, never ever tried to get them treated :smack: and have two sons MA (NO problems in conceiving AT ALL). My PCOs are really bad even with few signs of hirsuitism :bummer: So please be totally hopeful and see a doctor

I have PCOS and I conceived with lots of help from my reproductive endocrinologist.

How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

I have pcos and I was able to concieve after trying really hard but it HAPPENED!!!! Eating right and exercising helps. Try to eat better as in avoid processed food, make sure you are getting your prenatal supplements, incorporating fish into your diet wagera. Stress plays a major role, Listening to Surah Maryam and reading a bit of it everyday calmed my nerves. Hope this helps.

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

i think if you know there is a problem.. then you want to fix it asap.. why wait and then try knowing it could take forever in acheiving teh goal.. you would have wasted precious time.

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

@ganxta_girli...im getting married this october... i am already diagnosed with pcos..i didnot have periods for like 4-5 months in 2010 ..then doctor prescribed me a 3months course of diane 35(birth controll pil) back in 2010 ..then my periods became very much normal uptil jan 2012..again i didnot have periods for 3 months just a bit of spotting..now i am again on the same medication for another 3 months then i ll have to see the doctor again in august... this is sooooooooooooooooo annoying... my periods had always been disturbed scanty butnever missed periods for this much time before my father's death in 2009 ... i believe stress is the majorrrrrrrrrrrrr cause... i am very sensitive very emotional...i take a lot of stress and i think this is the cause....

well ganxta_girlie i am taking the medicines with all good faith in Allah thatt it will become normal soon and i wont have to take the medications anymore

Re: How to Conceive for a PCOS patient

ninaa, since you know you may have trouble conceiving, when you are ready (or close to ready) talk to your obgyn and consider getting a referral for a specialist. Until you are ready to have a baby, there is really nothing you need to do to "treat" the PCOS, other than maintain a healthy lifestyle.

A LOT of women have PCOS. Many conceive without any outside help, others need a little push, or sometimes a big push. My diagnosis has been kind of on and off all my life. When we were ready to start trying my OBGYN referred me to a specialist, and she was great!
