My sony vaio is giving me trouble! I just searched on net and few sites say the main shortcoming of the VAIO series of laptops is the lack of cooling capacity . So what’s the solution? I didn’t buy from Pakistan so i can’t possibly have it checked under warranty and i don’t feel comfortable getting it checked here in pakistan as it will cancel out the original warranty it came with.

So what should be done?

What does lack of cooling capacity have to do with dust? You probably have a bad thermal paste, which goes on the square shaped things on your motherboard like the gpu and the cpu.

Btw, what series and/or size is the laptop? I have sony z and they are known for running their fan if you open a browser or even touch flash. I had to take off a flash weather screensaver because the fan would be so loud in class. Sony has come around this problem with the Z series by creating a dock that carries the dedicated gnu if you have the need for it.

PS My sister watches that stupid drama. I don’t even know how pakistani girls can sit there and watch a billion episodes. I guess us men are wired differently as we want our drama / action to be done in 2-3 hours.

p.s it’s not stupid :nono: and no i dnt watch all the dramas just the special ones . Haha! I think i dnt have the patience to sit thru hrs of tv at a stretch but yah half an hr once a week is not too much .
