How can I clean my dirty fabric sofa? Plz gimme some suggesions. I mean should I wash it or what? Other suggestions to keep it neat.

Devout, I think depending on the fabric strength , you can do a few things :
1- Hoover your sofa well , so it will take out some dirt. Then using a thick duster , use some arm strength and using the beating action , clean the sofa for a good few minutes .. believe me it takes out alot of dust fibre ...
2- After that mix some washing powder in hot water and using a sponge , gently clean the sofa .. make sure you dont make it too watery or else it will spoil the fabric and the foam under neath.
3- Our sofa fabrics were tough , my mom used to clean them carpet cleaning agents and they would come out looking fabulous ..
4- If its a strong fabric , you can leave the cleaner on overnight .. and cleanse with water next day .. that too takes out alot of dirt ...

is is possible to take off the covers from the seat and back rests?
and also you can use a wet and dry hoover/vacum to suck up all the soap and water and it dries quicker this way especially is you use option number 2 suggested by CB
you can also get odour neutraliser sprays to help with your clean up

Devout , in that case , hoover it nicely a few times ... then Mix some carpet detergent in warm water ... Carpet cleaners are foamy and hence fabric will be safe, also foam is easier to clean and it doesnt get absorbed into the product ... Using a sponge just go through the entire sofa with it ... do this twice ... give a few hours gap between both times .. and finally dip your sponge in clear water and clean the sofa a final time to remove any traces of foam and detergent ..
Make sure you dry the sofa well before using it ..
