Re: How to Capture a video?

Web Stream Recorder Pro is a program that allows you to save multimedia data streams coming from the Internet or LAN to your computer. It can record music, video, radio broadcasts and adult content. Having saved this data, you will be able to play them from your computer without connecting to the Internet.
Web Stream Recorder Pro effectively solves 2 main problems that emerge when you attempt to save video/audio streams: intercepting the source address and saving the stream to the disk.
[
Of course, you can try to save multimedia data without using Web Stream Recorder Pro, but you will have to find out the source URL yourself and to try to save this stream to the disk using a regular download manager. In most cases it is very difficult to find out the URL. And if the data stream is not a stream-on-demand, but a “live” stream, you will not be able to cope without our program.

Thanks, but this seems like a download manager for media files… I will also give wm recorder a try.

tell me fast and quick before friday, so that I can set it up for the Saturday 11th feb match.

Re: How to Capture a video?

Well i think you need a server. You have to make it a server or find a server which you can broadcast and provide live feed.

Re: How to Capture a video?

CB: Here’s what you can do. You can use Windows Media Encoder (found here: Windows Media Player Legacy - Microsoft Support)

  • Choose Broadcast, choose audio and video sources
  • TVTuner Properties: Give it a channel (sat tv u have to just tune ur tv-card to 3); Inputs = Video Tuner
  • Audio Properties: Line in (depending on how you set up the input)
  • Broadcast method = Pull from the encoder (if you have Windows media server you can choose that, but that costs some green backs)
  • Give it a port number on your web server (I forgot to mention, you have to have a web server, i.e. IIS, installed and functioning)
  • Encoding options: choose the bit rate suited for your upstream connection, I went with 340 k
  • On the client open up media player and click on File / Open URL and type in your server name and port (http://myserver:8080), its going to buffer and you’re good to go.

Play around with the bitrates to see what best suits for you. If you do have a media server let me know and i can tune-in too.

Re: How to Capture a video?

u can also use WM recorder .. dats wot i use and it works fine..i record em and den broadcast em. never had any problem. ;-)
give it a try... !! n if u need a crack version.. holla @ ur boi.

Re: How to Capture a video?

^^ Tofi and Shoaiby both thankx...
Tofi, dont have a media server.. :(......... and erghh,, do I really need to have a webserver, cant it just stream in udp or multicast.. i gave it a try on wednesday, but it was hard luck.. may be I was missing the webserver..
let me see what I can do..

Shoaiby, I want to broadcast a LIVE match.. :D..

Re: How to Capture a video?

^ Den all u need is a windows media Encorder, Tv Tuner, and a fast computer wid broadband connection. im broadcastin matches and makin good money :D

Re: How to Capture a video?

cool.. Shoaiby... I would love to broadcast it over the internet ( that is for free as well),,, but the thing is that I cant bypass my firewall at the moment. though I am network admin here, but dont have access to the PIX/ASA firewallls.. ...

anyway,, both of you thanx.. its working now.. I am using windows media encoder, without IIS... I am streaming over 2Mbps over my lan :)..

Re: How to Capture a video?

use port 1755.. ..u should be able to by bass firewalls and routers..

Re: How to Capture a video?

:hmmm: :konfused:

Re: How to Capture a video?

actually, when i was using port 8080, some of da ppl who were behind firewalls and routers couldn’t watch the stream for some weird reason. so, wot i did wz.. i contacted microsoft and they suggested me usin port 1755, which is used for the advanced streaming capabilities of MediaPlayer. and after i did dat, da stream started workin for everyone even if they were behind firewalls or routers. so, they dats why i suggeted coolbreeze.

here is some info on port 1755.

Re: How to Capture a video?

For incoming connections (when browsers try to come into a web server) you need to open proper ports. Using a specific port on your webserver does not automatically bypass firewalls. The article you quoted talks about which ports to open on the firewall to let traffic in.

Re: How to Capture a video?

try camtasia studio.. its not free but u can make it free, if u know what i mean..
