Basically this known activist is saying that because the scanner presents your body as white shadow against a black background, and any metallic object also appears as black (against your body), any metallic object hanging from your side will be black against black background and so would be undetectable.

Well, anything which is around 10-16 hours (my drive is usually to DC/NYC) is doable… raaste main ruk ruk ke mazay lete jao. 
Point is avoid travel on plane so you don’t have to put up with morons at TSA as much as possible, if you can. But then its rather unfair to blame the TSA when the politicians are the ones who approve such absurdity and people, like sheep, go along with it. Under the blanket of false sense of security, profiteering for a few (now you know why 911 happened), people are subjugated to humiliation by machines that don’t really work!
As far as west coast is concerned… I don’t understand why you people still live there? You know west coast is "Earthquake patient 0."I could not live there with kids and sleep at night knowing that land is cursed. Same goes for people moving back to sh!t of the south, New Orleans… W H Y move back into a bowl?

I think legally you can opt for a pat down instead of a full scan. If they denied you the option you should have field a civil lawsuit.

i think in kinzz case they wanted to let her pass but she harassed them for a pat down, which they refused. :(
