When people flock into a stock market because it has been "on the up and making money for some" is used as an indicator that the same is about to crash. If you are attracted to the stock market because it is making new records and you heard some "investors/pundits" that it will continue to do so for some more time then my advice will be to start "watching" the markets/stocks, start researching on the companies you are interested in buying the stocks of.... but DO NOT buy for another year or so.

Keep it simple. Buy good quality companies with rock solid balance sheet and attractive valuation and good free cash flow.
