How to become more regular

I am a little shy in asking this :o so bear with me!

The last few months I delayed having to go for several reasons…now as a result, when I DO have to go, I get this gassy and uncomfortable feeling in my stomach and I’m not able to go for at least several hours…so the urge comes when its VERY inconvenient (Im outside the home most of the day)…and I hate that weird feeling I get for several hours

I do eat fiber, and I do take dairy (milk, yogurt, cheese) but I guess not as much as I should…

Re: How to become more regular

Re: How to become more regular

Are you sure you're not lactose intolerant?

Re: How to become more regular

^ I don't think so...I don't recall having any bad reaction to milk products. can it just suddenly appear in adulthood?

Re: How to become more regular

It did for me, just randomly. It happened when I was 15 and went on until I was 18. And since than it has stopped, and now I can eat/ drink milk products without a problem. I'm not sure what happened in those 3 years, but it was exactly like your original post.

Maybe cut dairy out ( go for the lactaid products) for about a week, and see if it makes a difference. Keep up with fiber and water.

Re: How to become more regular

Try taking metamucil - usually that helps in regularity
