Re: How sould I design this dress?

Sequin fabric is kinda in at the moment.

You can use it as a border:

Or below net for a dress:

Some more ideas I’m not keen on but could be adapted:

Re: How sould I design this dress?

wow thanks!

i like the first and the last one

not sure what is happening with the second one?

Re: How sould I design this dress?

Which one (the dress?) and what do you mean?

Re: How sould I design this dress?

the second dress..white net..

is the sequin material used as a lining?

Re: How sould I design this dress?

Yup, same as with the third oufit but it's more obvious in that outfit. Using sequin fabric as the under layer or lining is a current trend. Just as net as the top layer is being used more rather than chiffon.

Re: How sould I design this dress?

right..this is worth looking into.

Re: How sould I design this dress?

you can use it as border patch and other one for making dress.it makes a perfect combination if you would use sequins fabrics as a top layer and embossed velvet as a fancy border patch.

Re: How sould I design this dress?

I am getting a dress done for a friends wedding with sequin fabric. Its a full length A line dress with a side looped gown in fancy chiffon fabric and a choridar. Will post pictures when its ready.

Sequin fabric sticks a lot with chiffon though so I got the gown lined

Re: How sould I design this dress?

Im guessing you’re looking to make a formal or semi formal. It will be better to use velvet fabric wisely. Make a gown or A-line frock using the velvet below the waist and sequin above the waist or the other way around. Or use the velvet as borders depending on your own body structure especially if you are bulkier. A designer would have to look at you, exact texture & color tones of your fabric to think of a design which may suit you the best. From the pictures posted by @stopit above, the first one is the prettiest.
