How should Pakistan handle Mr. Trump??

Re: How should Pakistan handle Mr. Trump??

queer, i hope you know that i never like to debate just to score points . i am the first one to concede if there is a need.

that being said, yes i do know you are asking or expecting Saudi/UAE/Turkish rulers to penalize trump assets and i am saying that these countries have no problem with trump the businessman. so if they penalize his business in their countries, it will be for political reasons and to oppose Trump the president of the US.

and i am telling you candidly that these countries will never do it because in trump they have found an ally. Saudi/UAE are worst brutal, racist, repressive states themselves with no human rights and turkey has also offended so many human rights violations under Erdogan. I then further pointed out that even politically, tump suits these countries. trump is tough on iran and Saudis and UAE rulers are so happy. they were so upset with Obama whom they viewed soft on iran. and erdogan is partnering with putin and trump to finish ISIS, who is attacking turkish cities. in return, erdogan can kill more kurds and do more human right violations in turkey and USA will not say a word. and you are expecting these countries to penalize trump’s biz assets? i see a zero chance. just my 2 cents

anyway, we have made our points. lets see what happens.

Re: How should Pakistan handle Mr. Trump??

that is why i said yesterday that trump is not as boofoon as we like to think. he is sitting in the white house for a reason. he plays on your weaknesses and feeds your insecurities. on one end, he banned muslims from these 7 countries to score political points with his constituency in the usa (he promised he will do it during his campaighn, and scary thing is that pso far he is on dot with his campaign promises ) and then called 2 most influential and affluent muslim countries to assure them i am with you to to offset your biggest danger aka iran. The press already reporting that Saudis/UAE loving trump for being tough on iran and will lick his shoes

Trump bankrupted his Taj mahal (big surprise…) a couple of years ago and it is now owned by Carl Icahn. No longer a trump asset.

And if Trump doesnt get indians on terror crap, he will get them with Steve Bannon’s coming nazi policies of discouraging legal immigration and high paying jobs to non-whites. This administration is terrible news for everyone except Russia and some dumb white supremacists.

Re: How should Pakistan handle Mr. Trump??

Well one thing is for sure. Pakistani govt wont be getting anymore aid from US. Just mind you that even KP govt recently inaugurated public toilets which were funded by USAID. Its just one example. There are many more such.

So Pakistani leadership must get ready to have more self-reliance in everything, which is good for any nation. And may be its time for them to broaden their friendship circle and include countries like India and Israel in it.

Aman Salman’s mobile barely stops ringing these days. He runs a small travel agency in Long Island, New York, catering mostly to clients of Pakistani origin.**

Phone calls usually mean good business.

But since last Friday, when President Trump signed his Executive Order banning travel from seven Muslim-majority countries, most of these calls have been to cancel tickets.

Pakistan, a Muslim-majority country, is not on Mr Trump’s list. But there is huge concern and anxiety in the community that its inclusion is imminent.

“At least 95% of my Green Card holding clients, who had booked their tickets to Pakistan months in advance, have cancelled it,” says Mr Salman.

He is also getting frantic calls from those already in Pakistan trying to get the earliest possible return dates, even if that means paying stiff charges to change tickets.

Mr Trump’s order stops the admission of refugees from Syria indefinitely and further bans entry of all citizens from seven countries including Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.

A Customs and Border Protection statement clarifies that the current order doesn’t apply to Green Card holders’ entry to the United States, but there has been much confusion about the order, and reports of inconsistencies as to how it’s being applied at airports.
