I have came to realize that people are very selfish… Encounters with such people leave us feeling hurtful and used to a great extent… Moreover, if one is a sensitive person with a soft heart, then such associations might give them hard-to-forget and distressing experiences.
All selfish people display a very uncaring attitude and a strong “Me first” trait. They want to receive more than return it back or give… What are your thoughts on selfishness? How selfish are you?
I do think it is needed to be selfish at times else it leads to people taking advantage of your selfless behavior.
We are all selfish to an extent; I don't think anyone can give you scale rating for this.
Seems like you're thinking about a painful past experience. It's not something you will ever forget but with time you will move on from it. If things are much better now, focus on that.
