sara, it is not a one player game, when someone like your fiancee or husband takes interest in you, it automatically kinds of make you feel good and then sometimes you just dress yourself up or something like this for yourself, not really for him. It is a healthy sign, it means you are happy, it is all good... and even dressing up for your respective other is not bad, i mean there is nothing wrong with it. Sometimes it actually helps strengthing up your relationship..
I have to keep telling myself im 25.. start acting ur age hehe... what people go thru at the ages of 15-18, im going thru now.. but better late than never. Plus, its such a nice feeling to know u've waited all this time for the right person
Interestingly, Islam always encourages people to perfume up and pretty up for their spouse. I always found it odd that desi woman work the other way - they apply make-up when going to parties, but at home, they are sans make-up. So ... don't give up the habit after marriage nudge nudge
^ haha... true. I look like such a dero at home sometimes.. well actually no. Past few months ive actually been making an effort at home too. Its nice actually.. and its also nice when people around u notice the difference

Just the thought that he will appreciate if you make an effort to look nice is just, oh so amazing. And i gotta keep reminding myself the same thing: i am almost 25, gotta act like it. i know wat u mean..when my hubby comes to see me i start getting ready the night before, sad i know but i like getting ready and dressing up for my hubby. its a very different feeling getting ready just to go to a party then it is getting dressed up for your other half.
its weird how many of us are going through the same stages in our lives and yet when you are experiencing it all you think that you are the only one in the world..but thats what love does, it makes you feel so special, that feeling that you are for him and he is for you and theres no one else in the world but you two, my husband is so lovely mashAllah ad i love doing even the little things for him, i love his company and wish that we could just spend evry single waking moment together.
i go to these study cirlces and we study different areas and the last lesson was on the nikah and the rights of husband and wife...i was so surprised subhanAllah, Islam is such a complete and wonderful religion. our appa was saying that the wife is rewarded when she dresses up for her husband with the inetntion of pleasing him, and when your husband sees you and you smile you get rewarded for that. there is so much reward in the husband feeding his wife from his hand. and theres a hadith which states that "if a husband was happy with his wife at the time of her death, she will go to jannah".
there are so many other points...i just cant remember them at this moment, il have to dig out my notes and get back to you guys!
M glad atleast you started to understand :) .. i wonder if its the same both ways ? .. but i do think it works vice versa.. u actually feel happy if u dress up just to show it off to that sumone special.. n get rewarded by a little bit of tareef.. u could get swooned by happiness just for those few words... its totally weird though.. u cannot understand the feeling unless u r actually living through it!
its def the same both ways, coz i know my hubby he makes an effort to do things and wear certain things because he knows thats what i like, so its definitely to please one another…i know what u mean Aleezay, those simple words of tareef can send u up to cloud 9 and you just dont feel like coming back down
it is good to know that I’m not alone.
But yes it does work both ways. He wears stuff that I send him or like on him.
It is fun dressing up for the husband otherwise I’m such a massi at home haha
