How often should you change your shampoo?

I’ve been on the same one for quite a few months now, I heard that you should change your shampoo time to time to make hair as healthy as it can get. If this is true, how often should you change it?

Re: How often should you change your shampoo?

Niki mai, I've been told by a dermatologist to have at least 2-3 shampoos and alternate them. It's prevents dandruff and maintains good health of hair.

Re: How often should you change your shampoo?

I change it every shop - what I buy depends on whatever's on offer!

Re: How often should you change your shampoo?

2-3 months

Re: How often should you change your shampoo?

I am thinking of changing but I haven't in the past 6 months or so...heard the same thing about shampoos though.

I don't think I'll change my conditioner...but shampoo, yes.

Re: How often should you change your shampoo?

Means use 2 or 3 shampoos per month like each time you wash , grab a different shampoo?

I see.

What difference do you notice each time you change?

I have been using Redken for the past 8 months, i used golden , red and golden again. I am thinking to get AUSSIE shampoo. Has any one used Aussie?

Re: How often should you change your shampoo?

I change it as soon as the bottle finishes. Which I think is once in 4-5 months. I shampoo alternate days. Currently using herbal essences, and it is suiting me very much. I think hairfall has decreased, and I love the smell!

Doesn't make a difference.

So.....NEVER!

Yes, exactly. Different shampoo each time(keep alternating out of the 2-3)

Re: How often should you change your shampoo?

I used Herbal Essence once, didn't suit me.

I 'll do that from now on, thanks.
