Do you use a sterilized bottle every Feed or one bottle every day?
How do you sterilize them. In a pot over the stove? Steamers in microwave or other methods?

We had 2 dozen bottles and two big boiling pots and would sterilize used ones once a day. That saved us from going into panic mode for lack of enough clean bottles to feed the hungry baby in time.

Once a day for a long time, but most docs say a dishwasher cleaning is sufficient.

I sterilize bottles after each feed, morning and night, when I asked my doctor about this she never really gave me an answer, but I do it anyway for my peace of mind

The kids dr said after 2 months of age… They can handle tap water and unsterlized stuff (the initial dterilization is a must though)…
With midget i didnt listen..And took utmost care way past his first bday…with genie… Could care less

I have just started using medela's quick clean steam bags. It has made my life easier and causes less stress and effort.

Yep once a day in microwAve sterilizer bags..first 8 weeks, almost after every feed in boiling water but couldn't keep up with it. I do wash them with hot soapy water after every feed. I carry dish soap n bottle brush in diaper bag n did that in plane too, the flight attendant was surprised. :D

when she was a newborn,for the first few months I used to use a sterilized bottle for every feed.I used to boil them in a big pot on the stove.
Then the frequency decreased to once every few days and in between I used to rinse them with soap and hot water.I did boil her bottles about once a week till her first birthday.The time after that she took the bottle I just washed them with hot water and soap.
I see you are in the US.I would say that it will also depend where you live.I visited Pakistan when mine was 6 mo and there I used to sterilize her bottles daily .mainly because the tap water is not thought fit for direct consumption and I did not want to ta take any chances by washing her bottles in it.

we have 5 bottles, initially, we boiled the bits in a pot of boiling water at least once a day, usually at night after he was in bed. then it dropped to once a week and now i never sterilise. just run through the dishwasher when i run a load and thats it. otherwise, i just wash the bottles with a bottle brush and dish detergent with hot water.

I didn't you you had to sterilize baby bottles. I was picturing autoclaves used in laboratories lol.

i always use sterilized bottle....
once a day when i wash all the bartan at night i keep the bottles in pot in boiling water....n yes i wash them with soap n water before boiling....
