Today is typical weekend day at our house when our first meal was some kind of brunch at about 10:30ish time frame. At about 4 PM, i got hungry again, but none of the women of my house was (wife, mom, 2 both daughters). I went to the kitchen and ate whatever, and next meal will be dinner at about 7 pm. I know that the dinner will be the next meal for all the ladies of the house.
My real question is - do ladies feel less hungry or can stretch on a meal longer than guys? Is it typical?
Dont know if this is the right forum for this thread. Mods can move please
how often? i feel hungry jab jab mujhe bhook lagtii hai...:D
i'm diabetic and, as a result, i've to watch what i eat and when i eat. i observe strict dietary restriction. i take 6 meals a day but my portion sizes are 1/6[SUP]th [/SUP]of what it used to be.
i control my diabetes with exercise, diet and medication. alHamdolillah, my blood sugar levels are optimal.
I know that the later I eat my first meal of the day the less likely I am to get hungry sooner.
On those days that I have a reasonable breakfast early in the morning, I am hungry within 3 to 4 hours.
I think it has to do with metabolism. I'm not sure if it is a gender thing (which it could well be) or an individual metabolism thing.
I get hungry when I'm at home and I know there's food in the refrigerator. If there is no food at home I'm usually too lazy to leave the house to get some, unless I'm starving of course. I dropped 5-6lbs after quitting my job. It has to do with me quitting sodas and being too lazy/stingy to buy something. When you're not making a lot of money you usually ask yourself if that food you're about to buy is something you need or is it just something that you want because you're bored.

But it is a common observation that women crave food more than men. Dont know if that is true or not.
Good to know my friend.

Are you in between jobs, or doing your own business now?
I don’t get nearly as hungry as hubby does. I don’t ever have to worry about him not eating but he has to worry about me because I literally won’t remember to eat until I get a headache and hunger pangs. Still a fata$$, goddamnit!
P.S. this is the first time I am hearing that women crave food more than men. That is not the norm as far as I know.

Craving does not mean that they get hungry more. it's just that they are more fond of specific flavors and did types like spicy or ice cream, chocolate etc. I dont remember many men having such fondness

That is what I meant. I am clueless when it comes to what I should eat and he usually knows what he wants because he is craving a certain flavor. "I picture what I am going to eat and imagine how good it must taste and I put it on repeat until I get it", these are his words. He loves good food and he doesn't understand why I don't feel the same way.
I never decide what we should eat because I don't know what the hell to eat. It's very rare for me to have cravings unless I am PMS'ing and I think that's true for a lot of women if not all.
