For those of you who don’t live with your inlaws, how often do you call your MIL and FIL, and how often does your spouse call their own parents? (Trying to figure out if my inlaws have a reasonable demand or not)

we talk to them together, every weekend. they live in Pakistan.

husband calls his family (mom, brothers, bhabis) at least once a week, I talk to my parents every 2-3 days and see them at least once a week.

I try to call them every other week or so. Husband calls them at least once a week if not more. They are in Pakistan while we are in the US. My husband on the other hand hardly speaks to my side of the family, maybe once in a while on eid.

my husband calls them every weekend and i talk to them too like salaam how are you mausam kaisa sab theek khuda hafiz....thats it....
i call my parents once or twice a month....and husband maybe once in 2,3 months....

My husband calls them after two weeks and I talk to them at that time.

my husband calls his parents every day. I don't mind at all. He calls my dad more than i do too. I see my parents every second or third day anyway

We live in US, they live in Canada. My husband calls his family every other day. I call them once a week. I call my parents about once a week, and they call me once a week, so we speak twice a week. My in laws have never called me unless they need to speak to me about something specific, but have never called just for general chit chat.

same here saimab we live in islamabad and my in laws live in lahore and they have never called me unless they need to speak about something very special issue and my hubby called them i think 20 to 30 times in a day and i talk with them i think once in week… kia hal h? khany ma kia h? mosam ksa h? etc:smack:
I call my mom almost every day. Dad, not so much. My husband barely calls my parents, but my mom calls him for Special occasions like eid etc. My husband calls his parents everyday, sometimes few times a day. God forbid if he forgets! Lol....My in- laws never call me but call their son every day even if my hubby has called in the morning, they'll call in the evening just to see what we're doing and WHERE we're GOING. I only call them if anything specific coz they're over pretty much all the time. We live in the same city, few blocks down.

I talk to them once in 2 weeks.
my own parents call me about evry 2-3 days.

My MIL calls every other day on my husband`s no. then she wants to talk to me!!
I dont prefer talking that often I mean what to talk abt when there is nothing new in life. Same Questions: how are you? how is office? WHEN WILL YOUR MOM COME BACK ( helloo??! that is my issue not yours)?

We visit my parents almost every weekend and sometimes during the week as well. On average I'd say twice a week. Inbetween we call each other too. In fact my wife calls my mum more often than I do. :)
My in-laws are in Lahore. So we mostly speak with them over Skype. My wife once or twice a week. Myself: Whenever we happen to Skype on a weekend.

Usually my husband calls his parents and I talk to them then, but I always talk for longer than hubby does. But sometimes, maybe once in 2 weeks or so I call them myself as well, and we end up chatting for 20-25mins. Hubby normally calls them every 3 or so days.
I skype with my mom almost everyday. With dad only on weekends.

I call my Inlaws Every sunday on my day off =D and we both speak to them for pretty much the full day we're in the UK and the inlaws live in India
