How often can we do istekhara?

i know how to and stuff abt istekhara .The question i have is how often can one do it? once a day or can be multiple times?

It doesnt have to be before sleeping or does it?

people, who have command on it, they can do it as many times as they can. however, for normal person like us .. i guess its "difficult" to do multiple times a day.

P.S:
when i say "command" i mean people who are pious and are religiously literate like some sufi, molvi or hafiz
