blatant lies regarding ports/base use, I tell you… core commanders going to a meeting with information from media only? come’on dude, who are you fooling? If COAS was doing what core commanders didn’t like/allow then why was he not taken to task? He is just trying to protect rest of army/core commanders. Allowing US to use Pakistan airports on “humanitarian grounds”

Pakistan did send forces forces to saudia under the coalition forces that went to iraq so I don't know how Pakistan didn't "participate" in the war at all? I think staying awake at night all these years has made you senile...

Thank you for the comments but no Pakistani troop entered in Iraq or Kuwait any time during the war. Pakistani forces were present in SA for long perhaps since 70s they never took part in any war.

No it is not true. Army is our back bone.
Reforms are required only and I am always sure that if only this institution becomes right,Things will be right immediately. It is high time to correct the things. We should now stand on their back but it is necessary for them to show some thing to us.

In 1965, the army commanded respect all over Pakistan Which included East Pakistan. In 1971, they lost the dignity pride and professionalism they were enjoing for many years. Bhutto tried to regain the dignity but then come mardood Zia-ul-haq, who not only snatched self-esteem of whole nation, but made the army as merceneries of Uncle Sam. We are actually talking about regular army troops and contrary to what they printed in Newsweek regarding Pakistan's security role in Middle East, I have never heard thousands of Pakistani soldiers being deployed there. I would have known as I do know people who are friend of my dad who went to the cadet college and went on to deputation later in the Royal SAF.
The point is that aslam beg / jamaat didn't want pakistani troops to participate in any shape or form, but Nawaz did send them and they were busy with french to clear mines at the saudi - iraq border. PA didn't have suitable tanks nor did the saudis / kuwaitis believed in us that much, hence the reason they paid the US / UK for the bulk of the fighting.
