we all need the sunshine for vitamin D. But some of those sun rays are deadly and cancerous for us, and thats why we are suppose to wear Suncreen/sunblock, which blocks all the UV rays or does it just blocks the bad ones?
my question: If all of those UV rays have been blocked by sunscreens & other accessories we wear, then how do we get that vitamin D from sun?

Some doctors recommend atleast 15 minutes.....but you have to be South of Oklahoma.............if you live in the North they recommend 400 units per day supplement of D vitamin.
Re: How much sun exposure is needed for Vitamin D?
I think going out early in the morning for a few mins walk is a good idea, the sun isn't too bright and your body is able to absorb some sunlight. And even if you wear sunblock, I don't think the rays are all blocked completely. I think sunblock limits most of them.
