what airline gives the most allowance? per person.

we are taking an infant under 1, how much is her ticket and any luggage allowance? the websites are not working at the mo.

PIA definitely gives the most allowance, 40kg luggage (28 per bag/suitcase I think) and 7kg hand luggage for one person. Emirates/Saudi allow 30kg. I'm not sure about infants' allowance though, but it must be a lot less (maybe none) because infant tickets are usually 10% fare.

40kg is standard with 28 or 27 per bag/suitcase and yupe 7kg hand luggage. Others airline do the same. If ur lucky enough then maybe u'll find some1 on boarding counter who'll allow u otherwise mostly will say pay extra for luggages or return/take it back.

PIA is definately very generous on in bound flights it think it’s allowance is slightly smaller than outbound flights but thats great if you want to take things souvenirs with you… :wink:

The Gulf Airlines allow 50kg and i guess emirates + Qatar also do the same. Not sure maybe luftansa also allow same kg.

Here, pplz don't like PIA due to two reasons (i) services including less carry weight (ii) transit flight from karachi.

I travelled on Gulf from Heathrow to Lahore three years ago, only got 30 kg allowance. Maybe they've somewhat changed their policy but I've never heard of any airline allowing more weight than PIA, its the only reason people use PIA (other than the direct flight).

I agree in past they allowed only 30kg but now they increased to 50kg but its not always like this. I don't knw under what circumstances they increase/decrease the weight limit. Last time when my family travelled to lhr, on ticket it was printed 40kg but on counter they allowed 50. Some times its vice-versa.

PIA is quite familiar and every knw they won't allow even if 1kg is in excess. But now a days the new staff r trying their best to promote PIA and allowing customers more weight with is a positive step if some1 wanna travel to pak.

these days its 40kgs ( family going to pak from uk and theirs is 40 )

50 kg on a gulf airline... really wow!!! Anyone know what are they offering at the moment? baggage allowance?
