I don't think I've had it more than twice. Easy to confuse cold/flu with allergies though.

@redvelvet , really? I suffer from allergies and the symptoms are so different from a cold that I know when a cold is coming on...I've had 2 so far this year, on average its 2-3 a year.

2nd question--how do you know if you have a strong immune system?

Google tells me how to build a strong immune system and signs of a weak immune system....but doesn't mention how you know if u have a strong system.

2 times a year usually. One time lasts longer, the second time I recover fast. I used to have more colds but I seem to be getting better now.

I guess you know that you have a strong immunity system if you don't fall sick too much.

Stress weakens immune system. I remember this one year I was soooo stressed....it felt like I caught the flu/cold from students easily. Had this vicious case of bronchitis...felt like needles were lodged in my throat.

maybe 2 times in 3 years kind of thing. ALhamduliilah I dont fall sick very often and even then, not for more that 24-36 hours. I dont remember when was the last time I used my sick day for actual sickness of mine (just for the records, we are allowed sick days for doctors/dentist visits and to take care of any sick family member or for their doctors/dentist visits, so that is where my sick days go)

cold about twice a year... not bad enough to take time of work or anything. it usually happens when the weather changes suddenly. i get a sore throat followed by a blocked nose for a few days.

i get other bugs though... the result of using the tube in london everyday. i caught norovirus twice last year.

Colds/flu i get around 3 times a year. One year though, i kept getting a cold with just one week in between of the cold going away, then coming back, going away, coming back. This went on for a few months and it was reaaaaaaaaally annoying.

So true. I've also noticed if I fall ill with a minor thing in Karachi or Dhaka it takes me literally dayss to get better whilst in London usually often just after a good nights sleep up I'm generally ok in the morning.. That insense heat obviously doesn't help and mentally as well as physically it seems to really take a toll on my body.. When at home I rarely get coughs or colds, usually just when it suddenly changes from cold to hot ot vice versa..

I've read that colds aren't caused by cold temperatures but rather from getting the cold virus, but how does a sudden temp change cause a cold?

............i seriously dont remeber the last time i was sick
..... maybe in 2005.

i rarely ever get sick.

cold never bothers me, actually no season is too much for me but i would say that , i cant take too much heat like if its above 35 degreez then thats too much for me.
and winter doesnt bother me at all. i guess i'm too use too cold/snow (canada). even in the coldest weather ( december, january) i've never worn a heavy coat/jacket i usually wear the same coat as what i wear in fall and spring

one time flu & ill. It's been routine from last 10 years. Nothing else.

The frequency of Flu is related to change in weather,atmosphere and infection in the throat.
