How much Fidiya shall be paid?

I want to know , how much fidiya shall I have to pay , since I’m not gonna fast this Ramzan due to my maternity condition. How do we calculate and whom shall we pay?

the amount is equivalent to the cost of food you would pay for meals for yourself.

you may give the money to your local masjid, a charity or send it to your home country.

How do I calculate it? I mean, food cost vary here in Lahore. So, how shall I be counting / adding the amount? Sorry, but im quite confused :bummer:

simply, take an average price for breakfast, lunch and dinner [3 meals a day] and add them up for the entire day and then multiply by 30 days.

for example, average cost in a roadside/medium restaurant will be approximate Rs. 25 for b’fast, Rs. 50 for lunch and Rs. 50 for dinner…

Rs 125 X 30 = Rs. 3750 for the entire month of Ramadhan for 1 person

WS, Fidiya is allowed only in one condition that is if there is a life threat issue otherwise ‘Qaza Roza’ is due on you. Please consult with a qualified scholar.

This is correct. Fidya can only be given when you can't make up the fasts. If I remember correctly, fidya for a fast is about the amount that you give in sadatul fitr. You should confirm that with an aalim.
