okkkk the machines at our gym goeup to 9 not only in speed but also in elevation. But it can be possible machines in Europe are in KM but mine are definetly in miles.
But 9 miles an hour isn’t very odd, difficult but not out of ordinary. It basically means a mile in 6.67 minutes, which means you will do a 10k race in 41.35 minutes. Well here are some results from one such 10k race results] and as you can see the guy who came in 618th (yes that’s right) did it in 41 minutes. The best time was 31 minutes, which will translate into the speed of 12 on the threadmil.
Oh and let me add that speed at the threadmil or even time isn't important. Its what you want to do ... It's all about what your goals are.
Remember a great runner isn't always a great bicycler, just like a great swimmer isn't always a great footballer and how much you sweat is by no means a measure of how good of a person you are. :)
You don’t have to go up to 9, but I think you would be better off trying to increase the speed while trying to reduce the time on the treadmill. The higher the speed the more quickly that you burn off the calories. The choice is yours keeping your own objectives in mind, and knowing the limits of your body.
I do a couple of minutes warm up and a couple of minutes of cooling down and only run at between 9-13 for about 10 minutes which is more than enough for what I want to achieve. In total I spend about 15 minutes on the treadmill.
I have checked the treadmill and it goes upto a maximum speed of 14 miles per hour.
well 2 hrs is ok..like i do 90-100 mins treadmill(warm up and cool down included)..varying b/w the speeds..i dont do at a particular speed..i always try to vary..then ur body is not used to of a single speed.and yes i do 6 times a week…one thing to remember warm up and cool down is really very imp. 2nd thing always try to eat something before u do ur workout..if u have taken ur meals then atleast wait for 2 hrs to start ur workout..and i tell u after doing this much hard workout…whatever u eat within 90 mins..that will burn itself:D and won’t be stored as fat!
45 mins on treadmill is very less time…treadmill helps to tone ur body and this 45 mins is very less…try to increase the speed or the time..i go till 6.5 on mine…and thats too fast for me..just like jogging…but make sure do ur workout on that speed which is OK for u …not at which ur friend is doing..
dear u r doing cruel to ur body..too much machines in one day..make separate days for diff machines..try to organize ..dont mess with everything around.. but just tell me why do u want to do this workout? u want to lose some weight? u want to maintain urself? or whatelse?
sweating is not a problem..try to be hydrated..drink more water before, during and after ur workout..
exercise at any time of the day ..do when it suits u:)
if u want to lose weight make sure to follow a strict diet plan comprising of 1200 cals..
if u want to lose much weight follow a diet plan comprising of 1000 cals.
now if u r on 1200 cals..then if u burn 500-600 cals at ur gym..then within a month u wud feel much difference..so u r very messed up with so many machines..dont do bad to ur body for God sake.
