Re: How much do you spend eating out...
Bringing tea bags to work is a great idea. I've begun doing that, and bringing leftover dinner to work if i'm working nights for dinner, instead of having to order out.
What other tricks do you guys have to spend less money during the day?
Here's what I do, and it seems to work if I stick to it:
- Put X amt of cash in my pocket book, and then I say to myself, ok, this is your budget for groceries, and daily routine things for the month. That includes over priced starbucks coffees for the month.
- Bring my coffee maker to work...now I drink tea, so I make a lot the night before and bring it in a container. Cuz I cook it from the actual tea grounds in a pot now.
- Make dinner at night and make LOTS OF IT, so leftovers can be used on other days.
- Coupons
- For dinners at work, started noticing that people would bring stuff already cooked from the grocery store, so like they'd spend maybe 3-5 bucks on something that they dont need to cook, and it's still cheaper than ordering from a restaurant at work.
