How much do you know about Islam?

Okay people, you can show off here :stuck_out_tongue: Test your skills… this is just for ‘fun’ - with an educational component, manifestly, thrown in. i got 9/10 on the last one… they’re not as hard as they say they are on the website. They’re a bit too easy but maybe they intended the quizzes to be in that format. Anyhowz —> something fun, interesting, and educational.

8/10.

Actually for a forum I used to help with- we had these types of quizes.I remember I made one.Lots of fun and you get to actually learn stuff from it.

Knowing is irrelevent.

Islam is to practice.

I am sure Ulama-e-Suu (which Quran mentions) know as much as any Alim does.

Nice post.

Thank you (sincerely). i hope i do realize that.

10/10 on the very, very easy quiz, most of it learned via GUPSHUP. I think I'll quit while I'm ahead.

I was unable to stop there, I got 8/10 on each of the next two harder quizzes. definitely quitting now

9/10 on the last one.

That was not pointed towards anyone. It was just a general comment. And a reminder to myself in the first place.

**ﺮﻴﺧ **:jazak:

10/10 - easy--

but i dont know about islam.
just a student....

cool link

Got a few wrong, but overall did well, alhamdulillah.

Quiz 4.
This quiz is a real mixture of the very easy and rather hard. If you score more than 8 you really know your Islam.

7/10

I dont know much about the religion :bummer:

Quiz 5.
And the questions are getting even more difficult!
10/10

Quiz 6.
We’ve included some of your questions in this tough quiz.
8/10

All three had somewhat same level of difficulty.

Anyway nice link

I was taking Quiz number 8 and i think that normaly the questions would not be repeated but I saw this question:“Name of the christan monk who foretold that Muhammad [s] will be prophet.”
Now I have read that this incident is not true. I’m still not sure about it. Does anyone has an idea?

I have read this in every book of Seerah as far as I remember including the famous Ar Raheeq-ul-Makhtoom.

Quiz 5: Q 7
Who commissioned the building of the Taj Mahal?

Quiz 7: Q 9
Who was the last of the great Moghul Emperors?

very Islamic questions…
makes mughals proud to know Islamic quiz cant be complete without their mention… :stuck_out_tongue:

In all the quizzes, I got two questions wrong…

  1. the first martyr of Islam…
i replied yasir, but it wsa sumayah…
  2. the ottoman sultan who conquered constantinople…
i replied suleyman, and the answer was mehmet 2…

i really doubt if it is an islamic quiz. might be some other intiontion behind it.

^ Oh bhai, dil pe na ley yaar :smack:

Should we leave something without bothering there might be some other intiontion behind it. ? :stuck_out_tongue:

armughal so you dont like mughals ? interesting

How will you practice without Knowledge? They both go hand in hand. Many times in the Quraan the people of correct Knowledge have been praised and the people of no Knowledge or understanding have been belittled - And rightly so.

To gain Knowledge is an obligation on each Muslim as stated by our Prophet Sallallaahu 'Alayhi Was-Sallam, recorded by Ibn Majah.

The Imams of the past would say to seek Knowledge is more beloved to us than spending a whole night in worship.

But once you have the Knowledge and correct Understanding of it, you have to put it into practice and tell others about this Knowledge you have, otherwise it will be held against you on the Day of judgement.

Knowledge of the Deen is Sunnah and Ignorance of the Deen is an Innovation.

Yes they do have an Authentic Isnaad. The Monks name was Baheera. The Messenger was only young and he went with his Uncle Abu Talib on a business journey to Syria, where they met a monk called Baheera. He recognised the Prophet Sallallahu 'Alayhi Was-Sallam and said to him, "This is the master of all Humans. Allaah will send him with a Message which will be a Mercy to al beings." And indeed he spoke the Truth, Allaah said He sent His Messenger as Mercy to the Worlds.

Anyway, so, Abu Talib asked the monk, "How do you know this?" And he said, " When you came from the direction of 'Aqbah, all stones and trees prostrated themselves, which they never do except for a Prophet. I can recognise him also by the seal of Prophethood which is below his shoulder, like an apple. We learnt this from our books."

Then he advised Abu Talib to send him back to Makkah and advised him not to take him right into Syria for fear of the Jews.

This has been reported by Ibn Hisham and Zaad al-Ma'ad.

And let's not forget about Salman al-Faaraasee Radhiallaahu 'Anhu when he met the priest on his search for the Truth, who told him that there will be a Prophet soon from amongst the Illiterate 'Arabs.

They knew this, because 'Eesa 'Alayhis-Sallaam had told them about the forthcoming of our Prophet Salallaahu 'Alayhi Was-Sallam.

Hope that clears it up for you, Inshaa-Allaah

I know what you mean. But what I meant was that knowing if not practiced is irrelevent.

Okay brother Anwar.

My bad, I misunderstood.

Forgive me if I said anything wrong.
