i think one might refer back to previous performance, the business contacts those can be tapped in and personal skills that would help in improving the volume of business.

What kind of business you are expected to bring in ? Sell something ? Bring in new accounts ?
Do you previous experience in the industry ?
Do you previous experience of selling ?
If you provide those answers it will be easy to guide you.
