Bin Qasim was indeed an illiterate bigot and a lootera. Actually history has been written to praise the victor and defame the defeated in all possible ways so as to justify the conquest. He belonged to the trecherous nomadic tribal man. By his victory over Raja Dahir, he decimated a big and refined culture of the natives of Sindh. He killed, maimed, raped and plundered mercilessly in the name of Islam. He forcibly converted a vast population from sindh to kashmir into Islam. Thousands were enslaved and a culture which had philosophy, literature and arts was decimated. A strange nomadic culture of Arabs was imposed. The irony is that the descendents of those persecuted are trying to justify the conquests of Bin Qasim.
