Initially, before marriage 2 - a boy and a girl...
But now my husband has a saying...once you pop, dont stop! i think 3/4 inshallah...depends how fat i will be after 2 kids....(scary)

depends on what wife feels.
How many she wants. I would say 2 and above.
If I become real rich I would love to have a big family. But again can't do with out wife.

My first 2 came one ater the other. 2 in 2 years of maraige. Now the third one came after 4 years and we felt as if the first one has been born again. He looks exactly the same like my elder son. His pics and the pics of the older one when he was young are identical. And his habits are the same too. Before his birth we thought 3 will be okay, but after having him we wanted to have 1 more.
I love kids, i even thought of adopting, but was afarid, if wud be ale to give them the same love as i do for my own kids.

Pick one from kashmir, if govt. allows it to.

Thats news to me, that you can't mix gender while adopting. I have 2 boys and a girl, it means i cannot adopt.

Its sad but no, you cant.
I told my sister once to adopt a kid from kashmir after earthquake.
Thats what she told me.

it does not matter if u have a boy and u want to adopt a girl..or vice versa
the thinking behind tht logic is if they are step brothers and sisters then they are mehram..or maybe its na mehram..where the girl shld do parda infront of her family..tht is where the whole u cant mix gender comes from

what if you don't do parda but want a child from the opposite gender?
anyway, i think i want 2. its an age thing for me- i'll probably be in my early 30's when i have the first one, so we'll see how many i can manage before my self-imposed cut-off date of 35.

if u dont do parda its ur choice..just how ur suppose to do..ur kids if muslims are suppose to do it as well..just because u dont do something doesnt change the fact thts how its suppose to be..

That is in the hands of Allah Almighty. I would like to have both, boy and girl if Allah gives me more than one child Insha'Allah.

thats open to interpretation... its the big "to do hijab or not to do hijab" debate. another thread entirely! :)
