This statement made me think about my marriage and how I’ve changed since. I used to pray regularly 5 times a day and read quran semi-regularly. My husband was the same before marriage, but after marriage we’ve both become so involved in our life together that we regularly miss prayers and haven’t so much as opened the quran in months… Is this a common thing with newly married people?

Not for us. We both continued praying regularly and became more regular with recitation of Qur’an.
