How many sons did Mohammad had?

Did any of them had ofsprings? Is there any identified family or person that can be said to be his waris today?

Prophet Muhammad (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) had three sons, Qasim, Tayib or Tahir, and Ibrahim all died when they were young.

What do you mean by waris?

By waris I mean someone or some family that can directly trace his link to Mohammad. But you answered my question to some extent. I remember reading somewhere that Mohammad had 2 sons who died in young age, although you are saying 3. the reason I am asking the question is someone today mentioned about Nabi Mohammad's son and grandsons and I was thinking cheez where did he get his info.
Thanks for info.

I have heard that the Jordanian Royal family is directly related to Prophet Mohammad, don't know in what way though. And then again we got all those ubiquitous "Syeds" in Pakistan and India, claiming to be the direct descendants of the Holy Prophet.

Grandson as maybe Bibi Fatima's son.

Quran - Surah 33, Verse 40
Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah is Aware of all things.

Muhammad (pbuh) had three sons (Tahir, Qassim and Ibrahim) who all died in infancy....
he had four daughters (Fatema, Zainab, Ruqaya and Umm-Kalthoom)....

people who claim to be from the family of Muhammad (pbuh) r those who r the descendents of his grandsons Hassan and Hussain (ra)....
