I would LOVE to have a small wedding but there’s no way I could pull that off without greatly offending my parents :bummer:

I’ll probably end up with the usual massive karachi wedding just to make them happy.

I wanted close family members and friends so we had ~300 total on our nikah. That # could have been decreased by about 50 or so but still it was not bad since I knew everyone who was attending :-)
now for rukhsati, I will only know about 1/5 of the people in attendance and yeah it is pretty annoying.

I only wanted my relatives and close friends plus people from hubby's side but for some reason the parents feel like they have to invite every single person they know. Luckily the hall could only fit 350 so that is how many there were. But making the invitation list was a headache!
