how many ounces a day is good enough?

ON THE FORMULA box it says at 2 months it should be 6oz 5 times a day…so how much is ok?the least she has drunk in a 24 hr period is 22 oz…shes 2months today, before that she could drink 24oz in a day…

also if they are meant to drink 30oz 5 times, thats 4 and half hours each time, but at night she will sleep for 8 or 9 hours, ive noticed she now sleeps 8 hours or 9 at times, is this ok?

Re: how many ounces a day is good enough?

My pediatrician says to let them sleep at night (unless it's a preemie or something).

During the day, the rule here is that MAX they should have their age in months +2. Bunny never drank the max. Usually she had an amount equal to her age in months (until she started solids). This in the US. I don't know if the composition of formulas there is different. Plus some babies drink a lot at once, then leave a bigger gap. Some (like mine) have little bits more frequently.

I think check with your HV about the quantity as well. But for a 2 month old it sounds like plenty.

You should give her as much as she wants at this age but she needs 2.5oz/per pound of her weight..for example, if she weighs 10lbs then she needs at least 25oz everyday.

At night time, don't disturb the baby...the sleep is very important for brain development.

At 2 months of age give the baby formula when she wants it. Don't force her if she doesn't drink the full 24oz.
And yes you're baby is sleeping through now. my MW said when a baby weighs more than 10lbs they can go without their night feeds.
