How many of you..... ?

Front looks a bit volvoish.

Now this is just a Beaut !!! Pure horses… :slight_smile:
Forget the Lambos, this is great value for money !!!

I wouldn’t mind having one of these…

[thumb=H]Impreza-WRX-STI-Bla-forfra_7667482.JPG[/thumb]

No, I am more value for money. I have more HP more torque and better transmission than Lancer Evo with the better price tag.

Horsepower:
Evo = 271
WRX Sti = 300

Torque:
Evo = 273
WRX Sti = 300

Transmission:
Evo = 5 speed
WRX Sti = 6 speed

MSRP:
Evo = 34,699
WRX Sti = 31,120

So the choice is clear. Besides that Mitsubishi is like GM of Japan. They have the worst reliability and most recalls.

i personally like the new Mustang, both the exterior and the interior(red & silver) and love the badge on the back ... i guess they are coming back to the point when Mustangs used to be a men's car.

sarkaar, I did not say anything about the ML did I? :)
I am still stuck between 5 series and a6. the good thing is that I am not planning to get it until next fall, give the 5 series a year to work out its kinks too.

however the consumer reports cars with issues concerned me, the top 10 is a who's who of european luxury cars, s class, e -class, s-type, 7 series, 5 series etc etc

nopes, but u mentioned merc’s changing their shapes, so I decided to post da new unreleased ML :dhimpak:

u wouldnt ban me for this would u…:konfused:

I dont ban ppl.
but hey, lets give it a try eh? :P

ur welcome...:D

since u are one of the few ppl here who actually know something about cars. gimme some pros cons of merc-e, bimmer-5 and audi-6, heck even throw in jag-s

merci

Oh Mr fraudiyey! I PM'ed you. Still waiting for your reply.

Give me a few minutes, I’ll give u lots of merci…:kiss:

unbiased too...:)

Motor Trend compared the luxury brands a few months ago. While they compared S-Class, 7 Series, A8 etc… the workmanship for E-Class, 5-Series and A-6 will be similar.

http://motortrend.com/roadtests/luxury/112_0409_class/

BMW 5-Series was reviewed here (though it contains a comparison with STS that you can ignore).

http://motortrend.com/roadtests/luxury/112_0408_bmwsts/

On the high-end, the 5-Series (545i) can top $60k. 530i is probably in a decent price range. I feel 525i is underpowered for its body size.

Merc drivers and Bimmer drivers are two different lots. One goes for luxury and comfort. The other goes for driving pleasure. Audi was historically the also-ran German luxury car maker, that consistenly produces some fine cars. Their interior is better than both big behemoths from Deutcheland, though, ofcourse, thats more of a personal opinion, than anything else.

Bimmer did improve there iDrive, though its still not a match for Audi’s system. Merc just floors you with buttons.

Comparison report E Class, 5 Series, A6

Dedicated for pink panther here. Im sure, we are looking at safety, price, comfort, maintenance & mileage. Audi has a better reputation with safety, but da top end Merc has much better stability programs. Da iDrive has been corrected in da 7 Series. Remember, da germans are very smart & their technological innovations are always da first in their cars, & then they slowly pour down to mainstream cars. There are bound to be glitches. Like for eg, when I bought an E240 2 years back, I later learnt that da rear window has a big time fault, & da motor breaks after a few months...& it did :(. Anyway da newer models dont have these technical faults.

Jaguar S Type 4.2L (8 cylinders) $58,330

Note: I didnt compare da E55 AMG, that is a seperate class of its own, & since da only near competitor is BM, so I included da 500, which is stock. These are average prices, & may vary in ur state.

I wont punch in da technical details, only da essentials.

If u want, I can list u all da Xact details of every option available in all da 4 cars right down to da socket lighter...it wont be much trouble.

Compare ur vehicle & I'd say da new A6 & 5 Series is a killer, but my favorite is da new E350 AMG, which is not out yet, & I would have definitely included it here in da comparison report.

Da 55 AMG is a beast in ruby red color...:)

agreed…:k:

Here you go, the comparios pics for interior. While both interior and exterior styling is important, I tend to focus a great deal more on interior design and driving comfort as opposed to exterior cz I figure as a driver I'd spend more time inside than outside (admiring the car).

BMW 5-Series - interior

... and in my mind, the clear winner
[thumb=H]A6_Interior12080_2355444.JPG[/thumb]
Audi A6 - interior

Although I'd warn you that the current GPS system from Audi/VW does not show street names, which is a strange quirk, considering that these are top of the line brands. Maybe they will fix the problem in coming months, and maybe this is not a big issue for some drivers... just FYI.

Another thing to remember is that both Audi and Merc use V6/V8 engines. BMW uses "Inline" 6/8 cylinders, which in my mind, gives far more superior performance. I don't think BMW makes any V6/V8 kinda engines. All their lineup is fitted with Inline engines and these are arguably the best engines in their respective class.

By the way, '05 BMW's 530i, easily gives 28 mpg. I know it almost first hand.

German technology keps on improving with time. Audi will definitely make a comeback with their improved engines & performance. Mercedes has always been da innovators of gadgets & they are going to implement a new drive system in their S Class soon, but like I mentioned earlier, it will have faults, but these guys will definitely test it thouroughly before implementing it.

Audi here steals da limelight, & as far as some british magazines are concerned, I'll never believe their road reports, specially if it involves Jag vs any German car...they always make da reader believe Jag is better...its NOT. Mercedes has always been better heads & tails from Jag, da only severe competitor it has is da BMW. These guys are coming back hard on sales & after sales service. This is what customers want.

BMW has a variety of 2 door coupes which suits every individual, it has even introduced da 6 Series to compete with da highly coveted SL, but da SL remains a leader ahead of its time, with a very rich history of racing.

Fraudz, if ur into BMWs then da 5 series is a safe buy. I'll still prefer da Merc anyday over a BMW or an Audi, Jag never comes in my list. :)

bmw 5
audi a6

e-350 amg is probably in a diff price range. for some reason, I like the mercedes until I drive it and compare it with the a6 or the 5 series.

anyways, I have one year to decide :)
