I feel like I am the only one! I wear a dark pink shade everyday, and honestly I love it…it’s not over the top noticeable dark, but I like to give my lips a reddish/dark pink tint everyday…I feel that this is what suits me and also desi’s as well…
As I read through lipstick forums here, I notice that alot of the desi girls wear shades such as “angel” by mac or “snob” and also “Hue” everyday…As this looks good on white girls, I absolutely cannot pull this shade off even being on the lighter skin toned side being desi. I tried on angel at the mac counter and even the makeup lady said it definitely isn’t for me…
I also notice how alot of brown shade lipsticks also look good on desi’s…however I still can’t get myself to wear a nude light pink shade everyday, it just doesn’t suit my desi features…I usually only wear it when I do the smokey eye look, but not for everyday staple lipstick
am i the only one? Anyone else out there feel the same? Who else wears darker shaded lipsticks/liglosses everyday?

Personally i prefer to wear tinted lip glosses on a daily basis...and then when i am going out like parties etc i wear dark shaded lipsticks usually dark browns or pinks unless i am doing smokey eyes, then i wear lighter shade lipstick

after shaadi was the time I sometimes used dark lipstick because my inlaws were stuck in the ear of dark brown , bright red color esp very dark brown. my personal preference is definitely not dark.

Desis need to stop wearing matte brown lipsticks. That is so 90's, but surprisingly I still see people wearing those colors. I have a deep pink lipstick too and I think ti's fine for my age.

I wouldnt feel comfortable wearing dark everyday, esp. because I have full lips and they look OTT in some dark colors. I do however pull out Russian Red or Gulabi, both by MAC, once in a while. I stick to light red, deep plum-pinks (gives the just-bitten tint) or rosy-beige colors for everyday. And non-frosty, non-glittery always. And like reha said up there, I also use lip balm or tinted chapstick and sometimes top it with some gloss.
