Along with snail mail, another of life’s small charms was hearing the THUD sound when paper boy (more like paper budhdha in Pakistan) used to throw the newspaper inside our gate and it hit the floor. Snail mail is long gone for many people, now printed newspaper is also diminishing.

lol. i dont. i am one of those people who might subscribe the printed nespaper only cuz raddi k achay daam miltay hain 
banda canada say suit case bhar ker raddi pakistan lagayea
besides for art work, i also use newsprints instead of wasting paper towel, to put the pakoora-fries-fried stuff on it.

We don’t. But that’s only because I don’t read news at all. My husband reads or watches news online. I believe in the "no news is good news’ philosophy:hehe:

we do but i hardly get to see it as hubby takes it with him in the morning and i get it back all crushed and separated

we buy gulf news once every other week, good paper quality, lots of papers. good to be used as dastar khawan...

^ I heard that the cheaper the newspaper is (cheaper not just in price but in quality of news, like all those juicy gossipy evening newspapers/tabloids), better it is to soak oil ... so when you fry fish or pakoray, use those newspaper to place them on after you take them out of hot oil.

^^ dont do that, pakoray will borrow some ink and taste too, from that newspaper. we dont use it to absorbe oil. balkay neechay bichatay hain khana khanay say pehlay, q k neechay beth kar khatay hain
haan lekin wo walay paper jinka aap zikar kar rhay ho (Qaomi, Jur'at etc) sheesha saaf karnay kay kaam aatay hain : )

I dont but I should…I would always buy a newspaper everyday to read on the subway. What a waste of money.

i get about 3 daily at my place :) dad cant begin his morning without one !
I still have newspapers delivered to me. I just cant seemt to have my tea without reading at least the headlines of various news items. And Sunday is a special day. My daughter waits for the paper to appear under the door and she takes it and runs over to deliver it to me in my bedroom :) or to the dining table. No such pleasure in online reading eh?? And after accumulating many newspapers, I sell them off by the kilo at like dirt cheap rates... haha

New York times- everyday, but I usually only read the headlines and Science times on Tuesdays.
