Depends who it is. If it's someone I wouldn't mind losing then I wouldn't apologise if it's not my mistake.

I have done that at times. Because I figure.....that people interpret things differently. And you never know....even if you did not intend to be hurtful.....your words or actions could have been misconstrued by the other person/perceived as hurtful. We make mistakes unintentionally as well. So, yes, I have said to people that IF I've said anything hurtful...I did not mean to...and I apologize.

If i am wrong I do say I am sorry. An apology would be going a little to far in my opinion.

I hate arguing with people. So normally I do apologize just to get it over with, but I think you can tell when I do that. Serves the purpose regardless.
