^ yes, it is beef based... and I get it on Pizza that has "turkish style pepperoni" on it... you're right, it is a bit rubberish but the taste is yummm... it actually has a ot of flavour to it

You know what is really yummy is salaami...halal of course. On thick fresh bread, over some romaine lettuce leaves, mayo and a slice of pepperjack cheese...

ok for those who grew up in pak/saudi etc…how much is pork actually emphasized? i mean more so than other sins? i would assume that it wouldn’t even be an issue in those countries b/c pork is just not availble there at all (well for the mass consumers)..right?

I know… I just made a really delish sandwich yesterday… thinly sliced fried tomatos, softened capsicum and onion, together with this amazing Spicy Chicken Salami with tomato paste, mayo and wholemeal bread with alsi and soy seeds in it… Mashallah it all tasted so nice what couldv’e made it better wouldv’e been pickled kukrhi (wild cucumbers)

kinda sounds like the sandwich u made but I really dont like lettuce in sandwiches

yeah, its not much of an issue in pakistan (Alhumdulillah)…

however, in countries such as Malaysia where supermarkets sell both (halal meat and pork)… I guess Muslims should be made well aware (which they usually are)

yeah, its not much of an issue in pakistan (Alhumdulillah)…

however, in countries such as Malaysia where supermarkets sell both (halal meat and pork)… I guess Muslims should be made well aware (which they usually are)

who told u people that…they are present in huge number in pakistan. (e.g. sakaisar, faizalabad and many more)

in fact over there people should be more concerned, but they just dont care. they take everything halal for granted.

Only one incidence… but Alhudmulillah I didn’t actually eat it! we ordered a vegetarian pizza and found a peice of ham it it the pizza went straight into the bin and Alhumdulillah we were saved from eating it. from that day onwards, wev’e never bought pizza from bahar except at Halal resteraunts.

Another story… my brother bought these shoes years back from this Korean Guy… when we go into the car, we found a cut so we went to replace it… the Korean dude couldn’t really understand or pseak english… so we were like we want to replace; but he kep on going on and on about how its water proof… and then he finally said its made out of Pig Skin returned the shoes and got our money back… Allah ka karam hai uss ne bachayaa…

One thing I dont understand & never will. Eating the pig meat (pork/ham etc) is haram, where in Quran is it written not to use pig skin for shoes? or Pig hair be used in Broom??

Its only that the any product of pig must not be eaten (entered inside the body), in my books any other use is 100% OK.

Most of the muslims that I have spoken with have said that their first taste with pork was with pepperoni.

I had this sikh friend he use to invite me over to their house once in a while, her aunt fed me pork tons of time telling me it was lamb/beef. I always thought it was her weird cook, It tasted different. Then One friend was mad at aunt and he goes to me "like you never had pork before"
