Most of the people I know who live in city have maids, some have full time, some come on a weekly basis, some visits twice a month depending on the schedule.
It make sense because most of these people either have jobs or kids and they need extra help.

All those men who are married have a permanent live-in 'maid' available 24/7 :D i want my 'maid' pronto! :D

having 3 kids, i’m constantly cleaning 
woudn’t mind resting my feet once in a while and have the maid chamak damak the house

I’m in the same boat…3 boys (4 if you count the BIGGEST BABY of them all, a.k.a husband dearest!)…I’m soo sick to death of all the legos, hotwheels cars, Wii paraphenelia and hubby’s aviation/flying crap (he’s a pilot/flight instructor)all over the house… 3 Idiots ko alag playroom bhi banake diya, laikin noooo…jahan amma hai, wahin behtke kailna hai, aur mere pyare husbaaand ji…roz apna chai ka mug living room ya office main chortain hain…paper work kitchen counters pe…aaaahhhh!

k chic - i know how you feel my hubby works with cars and always walks about in every room
with his oily gloves and car batteries
I have banned him now though to come in the front of the house while stinking of car oil and fuel
