In India there have been criticisms raised against government over the joint India-Pak statement mentioning Balochistan. But the whole noise has been proved a blessing in disguise for Baloch Nationalists.Recently they celebrated Baloch Independence day ,on August 11,in London.
One interesting line from the news…
**They say it helped in internationalising the issue. **
**“International community is taking interest now. For last 60 years it was ignored, now they can see that Baloch can play a key role in the area,” says a Baloch leader, Hyrbyair Marri. **
Balochistan celebrates I-Day in London, praises India
How many of you think it has helped the Baloch cause?
Re: How many of you do think that Joint India,Pak press statement helped Baloch publi
If Manmohan did that with this intention in mind I would call him genius.. Nazir Nazi did mention this aspect what if tomrrow India says we are nto involved if you want you can brign UN observer and get ti checked.. Will not ti give voice to the genuine concern of Baluchi who are lilving under occupation since last 60 years.. I think yes..
It certainly has given their cause some visibility

Its definitely brought the issue in international limelight and helped in documenting it. Thats not a very good thing for Pak.
Don't think MMS did it intentionally though :)

So Baloch issue is getting internationalised. But do not you people think it got internationalised much faster that many other issues in the world?
Re: How many of you do think that Joint India,Pak press statement helped Baloch publi
^ Pak PM was trying to be very smart by linking India to the unrest in Balochistan. In trying to do that he inadvertently ended up internationalizing the issue.
This probably would not have happened if we had a leader more shrewd than MMS who would have resisted linking India to Balochistan.
As they say - all’s well that ends well :k:
