How many of you born/raised in the west...

love to go back to/visit pakistan? (or wherever your native homeland is).

I’ve noticed for a long time that many people that I know don’t really like to go back and visit, even their family (note I mean some/most people, not all). However I love to visit it, to go see my extended family there and communicate with them along with exploring the cities/towns etc. Hell, I even get a chance to wear my Asian suits that have been shoved in the back of my wardrobe for god knows how long.

Re: How many of you born/raised in the west…

I like to visit but only for short period of time (I’ve been there for up to 2,5 months and that was just too much), with all the load shedding and God knows what else, it does get a bit of a hassle some times. I do think if I had more family in Pakistan, I’d probably visit more and enjoy it more as well. I have like zero family there (of course there’re the door ke rishtedaars etc. but that’s about it)

My favorit thing in Pakistan is the shopping and the food, because there I can eat everything without having to worry about halal/haram and I want to enjoy that option to the fullest.

Re: How many of you born/raised in the west…

I have been raised in Pakistan more than I have in West but anyway now I have lived outside Pakistan for the majority of my life now. I love to go back. And whenever I have gone back I can’t sleep a day before in excitement.

The food, the vibe, the hanging out with cousins and friends, going to Murree everytime…nothing beats Pakistan.

I was born in US but lived in paksitan for 7 years. i would love to visit but when i hear about the halaat over there, it gets scary to plan a trip. but hopefully i will visit this year. i just love the food there, shopping, even load shedding is kind of entertaining because then we all used to go on the rooftop… sounds silly but it was alot of fun
