Re: How many of you believe in UFO sightings and stories?
paging scientologist recruitment wing. Xenu worshippers will be with you momentarily.
As far as I know (remember), and this is paraphrasing from an episode of Southpark, Xenu is not their deity, but rather the demon of Scientology. Or perhaps he was drawn as such in that episode. But I was actually rather thinking of other types of religion and mythology than the ones which actually do believe in extraterrestrial intervention. Such as the abrahamic ones for example. Obviously it was said half in jest.
Greek gods= The Anunnaki. It's not actually as far fetched as we think. If we can think about colonizing an alien planet then why couldn't it have been done already here on earth by another alien species? The next best thing to human evolution is aliens injecting humanoid gene in Homo Heidelbergensis or Homo Erectus species. Maybe they came and left and we are still suffering from PTSD long after their departure. We recreate them in elaborate stories and call them religions. Who knows!
Precisely, who knows! :D
