What's there to be proud of? It's not like we choose to be from any given country. It was just what God decided. I don't see how you can be proud of something you had nothing to do with. . . ? And besides, What does it matter what country we come from? We're all human. . . Countries are just man made boundaries. I think that's what you meant by roots but if i'm wrong, lemme know.

We should all be proud of our actions I guess. . if we do good. . . and even then isn't it better to be humble?

What you are talking about is all ideals and never true in practical life. Are you not proud of your ancestors, your mother tongue, culture, religion or ethnicity? These are your roots. If you are not then it's your choice. But those who say that they're proud of humanity are in fact fooling themselves. When the whole world is divided into exploiters and exploited, then how you can talk about humanity. Who in the world follows humanity? Human speicies by itself is a selfish creature.
